MSOE women's basketball dropped by Dominican in NAC Semis

Senior center Carol Cayo scored 22 points and senior guard Kathleen Collingbourne put in 18 points but the Raiders fell to Dominican 76-71 in the semifinals of the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament Friday night in River Forest, Ill. Collingbourne went 6-8 from the field and 3-4 from three-point range with seven rebounds and two steals.
Cayo also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists. She knocked down two three-pointers. Senior guard Marguerite Wellstein and junior forward Shannon Larson each recorded ten points.
MSOE trailed the Stars 38-37 at halftime. The game had 14 lead changes and the score was tied eight times. With 5:50 left in the contest, the score was tied at 58 and Dominican went on a 10-3 run to go up seven at 68-61 and the Raiders couldn't pull any closer than three for the rest of the way.
The final record for MSOE is 17-10 which is a program record for wins in a season.
