Werner Named Soccer All Region

Kansas City, Kan. – Senior Forward Jordan Werner (Bolingbrook, Ill./Marian Catholic High School), was named as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Central Region first team selection.
Werner, returning to play after a year off as part of the MSOE study abroad program, was also honored by the Northern Athletic Conference as their Offensive Player of the Year. He led the conference in goals and points with 23 and 55, respectively. Those numbers translated into single season MSOE records for Werner. His nine assists on the season also ties a school record along with freshman Logan Andryk, and former MSOE players Dan Hosko and Jon Phillips.
Nationally, Werner is second in total goals (23), third in total points (55), third in points per game (2.75), fifth in goals per game (1.15), 33rd in total assists (9) and 44th in the nation with 0.45 assists per game.
Werner led MSOE to 14-5-1 overall record and 8-2-1 finish in the Northern Athletics Conference. He is a electrical engineering major. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Maureen Werner of Bolingbrook, Ill.
