MSOE women's tennis gets past Benedictine

The Raiders started Saturday with a 5-4 victory over Benedictine in Milwaukee. MSOE was edged by Aurora 5-4 later in the day. Against the Eagles, senior Julie Burg and freshman Marly Trier logged wins in singles action. In doubles, senior Carol Cayo and junior Courtney Grant won at the no. 1 spot. Trier and senior Samantha Pekarscik earned the win at no. 2 doubles while junior Heather Miller and senior Marguerite Wellstein came out on top at the no. 3 spot.
In the dual with the Spartans, Grant, Burg and Trier picked up wins in singles competition. Miller and Wellstein got the victory at no. 3 doubles.
The Raiders (3-4, 3-4 NAC) face Concordia-Wisconsin at home Wednesday.
