Raiders move to 9-2 in NAC play after 57-55 win over Dominican

MSOE women's basketball had four players in double figures as they came back from down 12 in the second half to defeat Dominican 57-55 in Northern Athletics Conference Action on the road in River Forest, Ill.
With a two-point lead, senior guard Kathleen Collingbourne knocked a three-pointer with 46 seconds left and the Raiders would hang on from there. Earlier in the second half, MSOE trailed 46-37 with 8:54 left. The Raiders would go on a 11-0 run to take the lead.
Seniors Carol Cayo and Marguerite Wellstein each scored 12 points. Cayo also grabbed 11 rebounds for her 11th double-double on the year which puts her among the top ten nationally in that category. Wellstein came down with six rebounds. Freshman forward Bre'Ana Strong put in ten points and had eight rebounds while junior forward Cate Scholfield logged ten points and five rebounds. Collingbourne dished out five assists and committed just one turnover.
This Saturday, MSOE (12-5, 9-2 NAC) will face Lakeland in Sheboygan, Wis. at 2 p.m.
