MSOE women's tennis picks up two NAC wins

The Raiders defeated Marian 5-4 and beat Alverno 6-3 in Northern Athletics Conference action Saturday.
In the dual with the Sabres, senior Carol Cayo won at no. 1 singles with senior Julie Burg getting the victory at no. 5 and freshman Marly Trier winning at the no. 6 spot. In doubles competition, Trier teamed up with junior Gabby Hendrix for the win at no. 2 while senior Marguerite Wellstein and junior Heather Miller were victorious at no. 3.
Against the Inferno, Cayo again won at no. 1 singles and Burg and Trier came out on top as well. Cayo and senior Samantha Pekarscik were winners at the no. 1 doubles spot. The doubles teams of Hendrix and Trier in addition to Burg and junior Courtney Grant finished out the doubles sweep for MSOE in the dual.
The final regular season dual for the Raiders (5-5, 5-5 NAC) is Tuesday against Lakeland in Howards Grove, Wis.
