Milwaukee, Wis. --On Senior day, Jordan Werner (Bolingbrook, Ill./Montine Catholic) scored his 17th and 18th goals on the season, breaking the MSOE single season goal record held by Jeff Stoxen. Werner, who is a senior academically but a junior athletically, plans on graduating in the spring of 2013. He led the team with three goals and three assists in the MSOE 8-0 rout of Marantha. AS of Oct. 1, Jordan Werner leads the nation in total goals and second in total points with 15 and 31, respectively.
Although it sounds like the Jordan Werner show, The Raiders relied on team chemistry and a full assertive effort to control the game. Senior Patrick Gathof (Beloit, Wis./Memorial) scored the first goal for the Raiders, just nine minutes into the game. He bookend the scoring with the last goal at the 78th minute of play. In between goals one and eight was Werner’s third hat trick of the season, two additional tallies by Logan Andryk (Hartland, Wis./Marquette HS) and a solo goal by Senior Tobias Muller (Bad Segeberg, Germany).
The Raiders had another Shutout by Garrett Farin (Madison, Wis,/East) collecting a lone save for the game. The Raiders return to action on Saturday, hosting North Central at Hart Park, Wauwatosa, Wis.
