Four Raiders named MCHA All-Conference

Senior goalie Connor Toomey, junior forward Jordan Keizer, junior defenseman Nathan Brunk and freshman forward Josh Keizer were all named Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association All-Conference. Josh Keizer and freshman defenseman Logan Bauman were selected to the MCHA All-Freshman Team. Toomey and Jordan Keizer were also MCHA All-Conference during the 2010-11 season.
Toomey, the MCHA Player of the Year last season, had the best goals against average in MCHA play at 1.96 and was second in save percentage at .926. Nationally, Toomey is tied for third in shutouts (three), eighth in goals against average and 11th in save percentage and winning percentage.
Jordan Keizer scored the most goals in conference play with 16 and finished second with 34 points in MCHA action. He leads the nation in short-handed goals with seven and is second with six game-winning goals while he stands fourth in points per game among all Division III players.
In MCHA play, Josh Keizer was right behind his brother with 13 goals in conference play. He tied for the lead in freshman scoring in MCHA action at 25 points. Around the country, he is sixth in points per game among rookies.
Brunk placed sixth in defenseman scoring with 14 points in conference action while Logan Bauman came in fourth in scoring among defenseman, placed seventh in freshman scoring with 15 points and was 11th in assists in MCHA play with 14.
Brunk, junior Carl Lindblad, sophomore forward West Bauman and sophomore goalie Spenser Brown were named to the MCHA All-Academic Team.
Saturday night, the Raiders (20-6-1) face Marian in the MCHA Harris Cup in Adrian, Mich. The puck drops at 5 p.m. The MCHA title will be decided Sunday as the winner of the game between Adrian and Lawrence will face the team that wins between MSOE and the Sabres.
