MSOE men's basketball gets past Finlandia 64-58

Senior guard Cynerick Osinaike scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half as the Raiders knocked off Finlandia 64-58 in a non-conference game at the Kern Center Friday night in Milwaukee. Sophomore guard John Cording recorded a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.
The Raiders trailed the Lions 53-52 with 7:05 left in the game. MSOE then went on a 9-0 run to take an eight-point lead. Finlandia would not get closer than four points for the rest of the game. In the second half, the Raiders shot 59% from the field and held the Lions to 30% shooting for the game.
Off the bench, freshman guard Jeremiah Erdmann put in ten points and grabbed seven rebounds. Erdmann had a three-pointer during that crucial 9-0 run by MSOE. Sophomore center Jaren Singh recorded eight points and six rebounds.
The Raiders (5-6, 3-1 NAC) play their final non-conference game of the regular season Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Carroll at the Kern Center.
