MSOE rowing places eighth in lightweight race at Head of the Charles Regatta

The MSOE rowing team competed in the 47th Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston this weekend. The event included teams from all over the globe. The Raiders finished eighth of 22 boats in the lightweight fours event. MSOE was 16th out of 39 teams in the collegiate fours race.
In the lightweight event, the Raiders logged a time of 17:39.01, a little more than a minute behind first place New York Athletic Club. The coxswain was senior Rachel Connon while the other Raiders on the boat were seniors Luke Engebretson and Erik Winer, junior Ben Lang and sophomore Jonathan Allen. In the collegiate fours race, MSOE had a mark of 18:10.12. On the boat for the Raiders was sophomore coxswain Chelsey Morrow, seniors David Taylor and Ed Adams, sophomores Michael Richter and Devin Dolby. Results for this race can be found here.
The Raiders head to Indianapolis to participate in the Head of the Eagle Regatta Saturday, Oct. 29.
