At the 88-minute mark, freshman forward Gabbie Pung put in a shot off an Allison Zimont pass to give the Raiders a 2-1 victory over the Concordia-Chicago at Time Warner Stadium in Milwaukee Tuesday night.
MSOE opened up the scoring with a strike by sophomore forward Paula Bohl from the top of the box, just 15 minutes into play. The Raiders kept the lead through halftime until a minute into the second stanza, when Concordia-Chicago’s Elise Bicek tied the game up at one apiece.
Although MSOE outshot the Cougars 13-3 in the second half, the Raiders could not shake the Cougars until nearly the end of regulation.
MSOE (2-1, 1-0 NAC) faces Ripon Thursday back at Time Warner Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
