Raiders finish weekend sweep of Bethel with 3-2 victory

Freshman forward Casey Moneer scored at the 7:33 mark of the third period to put MSOE past Bethel 3-2 Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center.
The Royals struck first with a power play goal in the first period from Jack Paul. In the second, junior Steven Shaffroth tied the game at the 11:13 mark. Just over two minutes later, senior forward Bradley Tierney scored his fourth goal of the season to give the Raiders the lead.
Late in the period, Tyler Swanson evened the score with a power play tally for Bethel. The game remained notted up until Moneer's game-winner in the third.
MSOE (5-3) will face Lake Forest Friday night on the road in Illinois.
