MSOE men's tennis picked to finish second in NAC preseason poll

The Raiders have been selected to finish second in the Northern Athletics Conference in 2012 according to the men's tennis preseason coaches' poll. Concordia-Wisconsin is a slight favorite as both teams received five first-place votes and Falcons garnered just more vote than MSOE (93 compared to 92).

Concordia-Wisconsin is the defending champion of the league as they defeated MSOE in the NAC Tournament in 2011. The prior season saw the Raiders take the conference title and earn their first ever trip to the NCAA Championship. Last season, MSOE had a record of 8-1 in conference duals with their lone defeat coming against the Falcons.

Senior Juan Diego Montenegro was All-NAC in singles and doubles in 2011 while sophomore Eric Klamrowski earned All-NAC honors on the doubles side.

This year's NAC Tournament will take place April 30 and May 4. The champion of that event earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The Raiders are back in action Saturday, Feb. 25 against Lawrence and UW-Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wis. The first NAC duals for MSOE are Saturday, March 31 against Edgewood and Marian on the road.
