Dieringer selected to CoSIDA Academic All District VI Team

MILWAUKEE -- MSOE women's track and field senior Emily Dieringer (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team for District 5 in the NCAA Division III category. Dieringer is a biomedical engineering major with a 3.95 GPA.

Athletically, Dieringer is one of MSOE's brightest stars. At the 2012 Northern Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, she took the top spot in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.19 and  a pair of second place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles and 100 meter dash, with times of 15.59 and 12.73 seconds, respectively. She also placed fourth in the pole vault at 2.88 meters.

Her time in the 200m dash and 100m hurdles broke school records formerly held by NCAA ALL American Catherine Chappell (06). Dieringer now goes on to compete for the honor of being named to the Academic All America team, to be announced on June 19, 2012.

The team is selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the track and in the classroom.
