Raiders drop both games of doubleheader against Concordia-Wisconsin

The MSOE softball team dropped a pair games to Concordia-Wisconsin in Mequon, Wis. Saturday both by the score of 2-1. Senior pitcher Jessica Iversen and freshman pitcher Sarah Altene both pitched complete games and allowed one earned run.
In the first game, Iversen struck out two and did not walk a hitter while allowing four hits. Altene picked up the lone RBI on a sacrifice fly that scored junior Kate Klaubauf.
In the late game, Altene gave up three hits and struck out three batters. Senior Elise Pinkerton doubled home junior Courtney Leaf in the sixth inning to tie the game at 1. The Falcons scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
This week, the Raiders take on Marantha Baptist on the road Tuesday at 3 p.m. then face Mount Mary Wednesday and play at Aurora Saturday.
