River Forest, Ill.-- In a key Northern Athletics Conference game, the MSOE Women's Basketball team came up short against Concordia University Chicago. The Cougars knocked off the Raiders 69-59 Saturday afternoon. Sophomore center Carol Cayo picked up another double-double for MSOE as she scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Cayo also had five assists, three steals and three blocks against Concordia. The other two Raiders in double-figures were sophomore forward Megan Syversen and sophomore guard Marguerite Wellstein who each logged 11 points. MSOE was 14-17 from the free throw line in the game. MSOE is now 10-12 overall and 8-8 in NAC play. The Raiders head back to Illinois Monday night to face the Benedictine University Eagles in Lisle at 7:00 p.m. That game was rescheduled from last Tuesday. |
