Mequon, Wis. -- The MSOE Women's Basketball team was within two late in the second half against Concordia University Wisconsin but could not pull off the Northern Athletics Conference tournament quarterfinal game Wednesday night. The Raiders fell to the Falcons 59-53 despite 16 points and 21 rebounds from sophomore Carol Cayo. That's the most rebounds by a NAC player this season. She finishes the season with 13 double-doubles to lead the conference. Cayo nearly had a triple-double as he had nine blocks in the contest. The game was tied six times in the first half but MSOE could not muster a charge to grab the lead at any point in the final 20 minutes of the game. The Raiders held Concordia Wisconsin to 24% shooting from the field in the first half. Junior forward Jackie Bertram put in 10 points for MSOE. The Raiders finish the season with a record of 11-15. |
