Milwaukee, Wis. -- Behind a stellar pitching performance from sophomore Jessica Iversen, the MSOE Softball team knocked off Concordia-Chicago 1-0 in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday. Iversen struck out three and allowed three hits during a complete game performance. Freshman Lianna Campos scored the only run of the game in the second inning when junior Sara Achten singled her home. In the second game, the Cougars won 12-1 against the Raiders (10-10, 6-8 NAC). Freshman Julie Windish was 2-3 with a run and a triple in that game. MSOE takes on Mt. Mary on the road in an intracity match up Wednesday. |
