Led by the bat of freshman Kate Klaubauf, the MSOE Softball team beat Edgewood 8-4 in the second game of a doubleheader on Monday. Klaubauf hit two home runs and logged three hits, three runs and five RBI. Junior Brittany Remington and freshman Courtney Leaf each had three hits as well for the Raiders. In the first game, MSOE (13-11, 9-9 NAC) lost 3-0 to the Eagles. Also in the second game, sophomore Jessica Iversen pitched a complete game and struck out six to pick up her 12th win of the season. Freshman Lianna Campos and sophomore Elise Pinkerton picked up two hits a piece for the Raiders. MSOE remains in sixth place in the NAC and will face Dominican on Wednesday as they continue the final week of regular season action. |
