Hockey outscores UM Crookston 5-3
Milwaukee, Wis.-The MSOE Raiders controlled the tempo of the game, outshooting
the University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles 43-24, on the way to a 5-3 Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association win.
Behind 1-0 early in the first three minutes of the game, the Raiders scored the next three goals of the period, taking the lead 3-1 after the first stanza. Both teams added a pair of goals in the second to bring the game to a 5-3 MSOE lead.
In the third period, both teams went scoreless as MSOE held on for the win. Robert Kreuser (Chaska, Minn./Chaska) went the distance in goal for Raiders, collecting 21 saves for his first collegiate win.
MSOE is now 4-1-0 on the season, 2-1-0 in conference action, while UM Crookston is 0-3-0 overall and 0-1-0 in MCHA games. Both teams continues their series with a 2p.m. Saturday contest.
