Hockey falls to Marian 3-2
Fond du Lac, Wis.-With 9: 31 remaining in the third period Marian Sabre's James Goodfellow scored the game winning goal, defeating the MSOE Raider's 3-2 Friday night.
MSOE two goals both came on power plays, the first in the second period. The Raider's Andrew Howard scored a goal off a pass from Simon Labrosse-Gelinas 3:30 into the second period, tying the game at 1-1. Marian scored their second goal of the night late in the second period. 33 seconds into the third stanza, Mike Soik scored the last MSOE score, off pass from Michael Sergiej and Jason Woll. Ten minutes later, the Sabres came up with the game winning goal. Chris Keller brought home 34 saves for MSOE in the loss, while Jason Jadczak gathered 27 saves in the Sabre win. Both teams face each other again Saturday, January 12, in the Kern Center with the puck dropping at 7:05pm. |
