MSOE Hockey Falls to Finlandia
Milwaukee, Wis. - The MSOE Raiders hockey team was down just by one goal going into the second period but the Finlandia University Lions scored four goals in that period to get a 6-1 victory over the Raiders on Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center in a MCHA game.
Freshman Michael Soik (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) scored the Raiders lone goal in the first period. The goal was assisted by junior Matthew Lietzan (Appleton, WI/Appleton West) and senior Lee Swallow (Stanwood, MI/Northville)
Mike Parks scored two goals and had one assist to lead the Lions. Ryan Sullivan scored one goal and picked up two assists for Finlandia.
MSOE falls to 8-6 in MCHA games and 10-9 overall. Finlandia improves 9-5 in MCHA play and 10-7-2 overall.
The Raiders are back in action again on Friday, February 1 when take on the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons in a MCHA game at the Kern Center at 7:05 p.m.
