MSOE Hockey Loses to Marian 4-1
Milwaukee, Wis. - The MSOE Raiders hockey team scored first against the Marian College Sabres Friday night at the Kern Center. However, Marian scored the final four goals of the game to beat the Raiders 4-1. Freshman Michael Soik (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) scored at the 9:08 mark of the first period to give MSOE a 1-0 lead. Soik leads the Raiders with 16 goals on the season. The goal was assisted by senior Blair Hanberg (Edmonds, WA/Edmonds Woodway). Freshmen goaltender Chris Keller (Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) started the game in net for MSOE and made 22 saves while freshman Michael Wyenn (Thousand Oaks, CA/Westlake) played the third period at goaltender and made nine saves for the Raiders. With the loss, the Raiders fall to 10-9 in MCHA play and 12-12 overall. Marian is now 15-8-1 overall and 14-4-1 in MCHA games. The Sabres received goals from four different players. Kyle Rasmussen had two assists for Marian. Sabres goaltender Jason Jadczak made 29 saves in the game. MSOE will travel to Fond du Lac, Wis. to face Marian on Saturday, February 16 to finish the regular season. The puck will drop at 4:00 p.m. for that game. |
