Women’s Soccer corners Maranatha 4-1 Down in the second half 1-0, the Raiders Kate Hermann crossed a perfect corner kick to Allison Zimont in front of the goal mouth, getting the score and tying the game. Less than a minute later, another Hermann corner kick found its way to teammate Natalie Gayner securing the game winning goal in the 53rd minute of play. Paula Bohl added a goal in the 68th minute of play followed by a Cate Liddiard goal with just three minutes remaining in the game. The win breaks the Raiders three game losing streak as they head to Hart Park in Wauwatosa for a home game against Alverno College for rights to own the Red Rivalry cup for another season. Last year, The Raiders won the inaugural cup and look to retain it for another year. |
