Werner, Lumpe lead 2013 MSOE athletic award winners
Senior two-sport athlete Jordan Werner and Women’s Soccer goalkeeper Emma Lumpe were named MSOE’s 2013 Senior Male and Female Athletes of the Year, while Hockey’s Nathan Brunk and fellow two-sport star Kate Herrmann were named the school’s Senior Scholar Athletes of the Year at the MSOE President’s Student Leadership Awards Dinner last week.

Werner leads Men's Track to runner-up finish at NAC Outdoor Championships; Women take sixth
Jordan Werner was named the 2013 Northern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track Championships’ Athlete of the Meet as MSOE Men’s Track finished second out of nine teams and the women finished sixth Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Raabe Stadium.

Raiders compete at NAC Outdoor Championships
MSOE took part in the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. The Raiders placed sixth on the men's side with 81 points and the women's squad finished seventh with 55 points. Senior Emily Dieringer picked up four top-three finishes.

Four MSOE records set at NAC Indoor Track & Field Championships
Senior Emily Dieringer won three events at the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday in Kenosha, Wis. The men's team finished third at the event while the women's squad came in seventh. Four MSOE records were set by the Raiders and two NAC records were broken by MSOE.

Dieringer earns fourth NAC weekly honor of the season
Senior Emily Dieringer was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for indoor track & field. This is the fourth time Dieringer has garnered this honor this season and the second week in a row. Dieringer won two events at the UW-Platteville Invite.

Dieringer breaks MSOE record in 55-meter hurdles at UW-Parkside
The MSOE track & field team took part in the UW-Parkside Classic Saturday in Kenosha, Wis. at the Frank Petretti Fieldhouse. Senior Emily Dieringer broke Catherine Chappell's record in the 55-meter hurdles as she ran a time of 8.78 seconds.

Heller named NAC Student-Athlete of the Week
Senior Amanda Heller was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Spartan Open in Dubuque, Iowa this past Saturday. Heller broke the MSOE record in the mile run as she placed first with a mark of 5:37.51.

Weborg wins triple jump at UW-Whitewater
MSOE track & field competed at UW-Whitewater Saturday and the men's squad placed second with 71 points while the women's team came in seven with 34 points. Senior Arthur Weborg won the triple jump at 12.69 meters.

Senior Emily Dieringer and junior Kate Herrmann are poised to lead the way for the MSOE women's track & field team as they are set to begin their 2011 indoor season. Dieringer and Herrmann combined for 35 of MSOE's 52 points at the 2011 Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
