Fond du Lac, Wis. – MSOE women’s basketball team out-scored the Marian Sabres 35-32 in the second half, but lost the battle 72-60 in a Northern Athletics Conference contest. Freshman guard Megan Kroll scored 26, while junior forward Shannon Larson added 25 points in the Raider loss.

MSOE’s Cayo announced as NCAA Woman of the Year Honoree
MSOE student-athlete Carol Cayo (Lake Mills H.S./Lake Mills, Wis.) was chosen as one of the top 30 honorees for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. A 2012 graduate, Cayo was selected from a group of nearly 430 nominees. The top 30 women are composed of 10 honorees from each NCAA division and span various NCAA sports.

Senior center Carol Cayo scored 22 points and senior guard Kathleen Collingbourne put in 18 points but the Raiders fell to Dominican 76-71 in the semifinals of the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament Friday night in River Forest, Ill. Collingbourne went 6-8 from the field and 3-4 from three-point range with seven rebounds and two steals.

Raiders beat Lakeland in NAC Challenge to secure No. 3 seed in conference tournament
Senior center Carol Cayo recorded her 15th double-double of the season as MSOE women's basketball defeated Lakeland 60-53 Saturday afternoon the Northern Athletics Conference Challenge. The victory gives the Raiders the No. 3 seed in the NAC Tournament. MSOE (16-9) will host Concordia-Chicago Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

Cayo reaches 1,500-point mark in win over Lake Forest
Senior center Carol Cayo knocked down two free throws with 1:27 left in Thursday's game to hit 1,500 career points in her time at MSOE. The Raiders defeated Lake Forest 58-39 in the non-conference game Thurday night at the Kern Center in Milwaukee.

The Raiders went on a 12-0 late in the second half to beat Aurora 58-47 Tuesday night on the road in Northern Athletics Conference action. The victory sets a new MSOE record for wins (14) in a season and also gives the Raiders the most conference wins (11) they have ever had in a year.

In a battle of the top teams from the North and South Divisions of the Northern Athletics Conference, the Raiders fell to Wisconsin Lutheran 64-51 Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. Freshman forward Bre'Ana Strong scored a career-high 16 points for MSOE.
