The MSOE men's cross country looks to build on a fourth place finish in last year's Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Championship. Seniors Keen Unangst (Berlin, Wis./Berlin), Matt Jungers (Random Lake, Wis./Random Lake) and Cameron Rate (Theresa, Wis./Slinger) will provide valuable experience to this year's team.

"The seniors will be our leaders this year," said head coach Larry Gardner. "They have spent three years in the program and now it's time for them to assume the leadership roles."

Jungers came in 27th place, Unangst finished 29th and Rate was 31st at the 2009 NAC Championship. The Raiders won the 2007 NAC Championship and finished second in 2008.

Other returning athletes include junior Matt Coursey (Marengo, Ill/Marengo Community) and sophomores Ben Peterson (Racine, Wis./William Horlick), Alex Schroder (Fall Creek, Wis./Fall Creek) and Jake Schneider (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee Community).

There are plenty of newcomers to the team that will contribute to the team's success right away including freshmen Steven Grousnick (Niles, Ill./Maine East), Trevor Koziczkowski (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) and Terrence Norris (Homewood, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor).

This year's NAC Championship is hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran and will take place Oct. 30 at Greenfield Park in West Allis, Wis.
