2010 Season Recap
The MSOE rowing team started their season at the Heart of Texas Regatta in Austin, Texas and finished 17th out of 31 teams. The Raiders had the second most points per entry at the event. MSOE finished second in the final of the 105 men's novice 8+.
At the Lubbers Cup Regatta in Grand Valley, Michigan, the Raiders were third in the men's 4V four with a time of 07:50.1. MSOE finished third in the men's 2V/lightweight four race with a time of 07:58.6. In the men's varsity four "Frank Yates Cup," the Raiders placed fourth with a time of 07:52.5.
The Raiders competed against the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota in April. MSOE finished third and fifth in the varsity four (1000 meters) and fourth in the freshman four. The Raiders came home third and fourth in the varsity eight.
At the Indianapolis Collegiate Invite Regatta, MSOE was second and third in the men's varsity 4+ final race. In the men's 2nd varsity/lightweight 8 petite final, MSOE finished with a time of 7:09:12 to win that event. The Raiders won the men's novice 4+ petite final with a time of 8:27:06. In the men's Varsity 8+ final race, MSOE finished fifth.
The Raiders finished their season by competing in the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia. MSOE started the event by winning their heat in the varsity heavyweight four with a time of 06:39.354. The Raiders came in second in their heat for the lightweight four.
MSOE advanced to the final of the men's varsity lightweight four by placing second in the semis. The Raiders finished fourth in the final of that race. In the semis of the varsity heavyweight four, MSOE was sixth.
