The MSOE women’s cross country team finished ninth at the NAC Championship on October 30. MSOE was led by sophomore Anete Zagare who placed 45th with a time of 27:30.0 in the 6K race. Next for the Raiders was sophomore Holly Phelps who came in 57th at 28:10.8.
Back in September, Zagare was MSOE’s top finisher at the UW-Parkside Midwest Open as she placed 46th. She had a time of 21:31.4 in the 5K event. Later that month, Zagare finished in 20th at the Falcon Invite at 26:01 in the 6K race.
The Raiders placed third at the Olde English Classic in Beloit, Wis. with Zagare coming in sixth place with a time of 21:59.8. Freshman Larissa Boesiger was 15th (23:34.0) while junior Emily Schmeling (23:52.8) and Phelps (23:55.7) came in 18th and 19th, respectively.
In October at the Gene Davis Invitational in Appleton, Wis, Boesiger was MSOE’s top placer in 17th with a time of 22:33.20 in the 5K race. Senior Erin Haefs was 26th while junior Tanzania Sewell came in 28th.
