Milwaukee's Cathedral Square Park and the surrounding streets are transformed into a Parisian playground with sidewalk cafes, wine bistros, roaming minstrels and impromptu street performers. Runners and walkers kick off Bastille Days with the annual "Storming of the Bastille," in honor of the 18th century attack on the Bastille prison in Paris. Four stages of nonstop music and entertainment host an abundance of well known groups with performances guaranteed to please the whole family. Dozens of charming sidewalk cafes and food vendors offer the best in French, Cajun and local fare at Bastille Days to satisfy every craving.
