This was the first spring commencement ceremony I had the opportunity to participate in as the Master of Ceremonies. Reflecting on the event, I'm surprised I wasn't more nervous prior to the ceremony. I don't think I was because so many of the variables had been accounted for by the Student Life staff--they did an outstanding job ensuring that everyone knew what they were supposed to do. More importantly, they ensured that the focus was on the graduates. If you see a Student Lifer on campus today, please give them a "thumbs up" for the good work they did this weekend.
