Shopping Cart FAQs

Do you have questions about our shopping cart?  Browse the list of commonly asked questions below. If you do not see your question, please contact us at orders@msoe.edu. 

Q: A pop up payment window opens after I submit, but the window is blank?
A: We apologize for the inconvenience, but if you are using the Safari Web browser on a Mac you currently cannot checkout using the cart. Please use Chrome or Firefox to complete your transaction. Not using Safari? See the next question.

Q: A pop up payment window opens after I submit and the window is blank, but I am not using Safari.
A: Make sure your browsers Javascript is enabled. The shopping cart will not function properly without it.

Q: I tried to checkout on my phone/ipad and couldn’t?
A: The cart is currently not mobile ready, but is a project we are working on this year.

Q: I can’t view the MSOE.edu site?
A: Are you attempting to view the cart or MSOE site at work? Our site may be restricted by your IT department. Please contact them to allow our site to be whitelisted on your network.

Q: I can see the MSOE site but the cart isn’t displaying properly?
A: Make sure your browsers Javascript is enabled. The shopping cart will not function properly without it.

Q: I opened a product and all I see is a description and an image?
A: Scroll down to the bottom of the cart to see the fields to complete to add the product to your cart.

Q: I’m getting an error, what do I do?
A: We’re sorry to hear that. What will help us most effectively troubleshoot would be if you can provide us with:

  • Browser Type and Version # (ie. Internet Explorer 9 or Firefox 26)
  • Operating System (ie. Windows 7 or OSX Mavericks)
  • Any error message you received
  • What exactly you were doing
  • Screenshot if possible

Q: How do I know my order was placed?
A: If your order was successfully placed, you’ll receive an email confirming your order, and you will end up on a thank you screen in the pop up window. If in doubt, check your credit card or bank statement to verify it’s been posted.

Q: What is CashNet?
A: CashNet is a secure payment provider we use that integrates with the MSOE shopping cart. When you complete your order in the cart by hitting “Submit Order”, a new CashNet window will open up for you to enter your payment details. If the window doesn’t open or has an error, please see the checkout troubleshooting.

Q: Where do I sign up for an account in the cart?
A: Our shopping cart integrates with HUB, MSOE’s social community. You can login with your HUB login and password. You are not required to have a HUB account to use the shopping cart.
