RPC’s research wing RP-Research, compliments and advances RPC’s core mission. RP-research continues to make leaps and bounds in the realm of research in additive technologies and hybrid fabrication for medical, aerospace, fluid power, metal fabrication, nano-tech, and bio-tech applications. Product designs emerging from RP-research are in use around the world. Structures and processes developed in the RP-Research laboratory extend the realm of what is possible in rapid prototyping. The 2014 International Fluid Power Expo was one of the largest ever with over 120,000 attendees visiting 400 exhibitors, representing a wide cross-section of the fluid power industry. The MSOE booth at the expo featured hands on demonstrations of universal fluid power trainers used in hydraulics training, fluid power testing equipment as well as 3-D scanning technologies used in rapid prototyping and research. MSOE students also got a chance to interact one on one with potential employers.
