Payment Information

Tuition & fees payment (paid directly to the school) not to exceed $19,198.31. The tuition and fees payment is prorated by the student’s benefit level.

The Yellow Ribbon Program allows MSOE to enter into an agreement with VA to fund the tuition and fees cost that exceeds the basic VA tuition and fee payment of $19,198.31 for the 2013-2014 academic year. MSOE will contribute up to 50% of those expenses and VA will match the same amount as the institution. For students enrolled full-time, the total tuition and fee amount covered for the 2013-2014 academic year is $34,470. The Veteran must be 100% eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill to receive this benefit.

Monthly housing allowance based on the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for an E-5 with dependents. The monthly housing allowance is prorated based on a student’s benefit level and may be further reduced based on the rate of pursuit rounded to nearest multiple of 10. For MSOE, this amount is $1,539/month for the 2013-2014 academic year for students enrolled full-time. Monthly Housing Allowance amounts are only payable when the rate of pursuit is greater than 50%, and the student is not on active duty.

Annual book stipend of $1,000 paid at $41.67/credit up to 24 credits for the academic year.
