Summer Programs for Engineering

MSOE’s Summer programs give high school students opportunities to experience collegiate curriculum and laboratories to help them investigate what their futures hold.

Week 1 – July 5-10, 2015

Discover the Possibilities – Engineering and Building Our Future (Max. 80 participants)

  • Monday – AE/CM or CVE or ME or IE
  • Tuesday – AE/CM or CVE or ME or IE
  • Wednesday – AE/CM or CVE or ME or IE
  • Thursday – AE/CM or CVE or ME or IE
  • Friday – Industry Tours and Award Ceremony

Focus on Bus, BioE, NU (Max. 20 participants/each)

Week 2 – July 12-17, 2015

Discover the Possibilities – Health-Related Science and Engineering (Max 80. participants)

  • Monday – BE or BioE or CE in bio devices or Bioinformatics
  • Tuesday – BE or BioE or CE in bio devices or Bioinformatics
  • Wednesday - BE or BioE or CE in bio devices or Bioinformatics
  • Thursday - BE or BioE or CE in bio devices or Bioinformatics
  • Friday  - Industry Tours and Award Ceremony

Focus on CE, SE, EE, ME (Max. 20 participants/each)

Week 3 – July 19-24, 2015

Discover the Possibilities - Engineering of Electrical and Computing Systems (Max. 80 participants)

  • Monday – CE or SE or Business Info Technology or EE
  • Tuesday - CE or SE or Business Info Technology or EE
  • Wednesday - CE or SE or Business Info Technology or EE
  • Thursday - CE or SE or Business Info Technology or EE
  • Friday – Industry tours and Award Ceremony

Focus on AE/CM, ME II, NU II*, BE (Max. 20 participants/each)

*Must be at least 16 to participate in Nursing Camps

Discover the Possibilities: These weeks cover all types of engineering (see groupings above). Lab time is included. Ideal for the student who does not know where to focus their college plans. Tours to local industries are included.

Focus on the Possibilities: The entire week is geared toward that particular major. Work individually and as a team focusing on problems in that particular major. Tours to local industries are sometimes included, though not guaranteed.
