Use of the MSOE’s electronic resources is subject to U.S. Copyright Law. Excessive downloading, printing, and/or electronic dissemination of resource content by the user is prohibited. Restrictions on other uses may apply. Electronic information subsidized by MSOE’s library is for use in MSOE classes and research. Databases are restricted to academic use only. Fair use guidelines are specifically applicable to use of information in a college setting.

MSOE subscribes to a number of electronic book databases. On the MSOE campus, most of the databases can be accessed when you are logged into your MSOE network account and when you click on the links to the databases. Off campus, most of these databases can be accessed through the Library Proxy Server. To use the Library Proxy Server, be sure that you are not logged into the MSOE VPN, and then just click on the link to the database, and input your MSOE username and password when you are prompted. Some of these databases require additional registration and your own unique login password after you click on the link to the database, and a small number of databases have limits on the number of users who can access the databases at the same time. In addition, access to a small number of databases requires you to contact the library for a password. Any limitations or special access instructions that exist for a database are indicated in the descriptions provided below. If you have any questions about using these resources, please call the Circulation Desk at (414) 277-7180.
