Technical Codes and Standards Databases

ASTM Standards

Indexes all of the standards published by the American Society of Testing and Materials. To order a copy of a standard, please submit a request form.

IEEE Xplore

Use IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Xplore to get full text access to IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines; IEEE conference proceedings; IET journals and conference proceedings; and all current IEEE standards.

International Building Code (IBC) 2012

A comprehensive code addressing the design and installation of building systems through requirements emphasizing performance, the IBC establishes minimum regulations for building systems using prescriptive and performance- related provisions. This 2012 code is available through the International Code Council (ICC) Online Library. Please note there are some limits to the search abilities and printing in this version of the code.

NFPA Codes Online

There is a one-simultaneous user limit for this database. The NFPA Codes Database provides online access to current NFPA Codes. Provided by the National Fire Protection Agency


The NSSN: A National Resource for Global Standards provides users with standards-related information from a wide range of developers, including organizations accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), other U.S. private sector standards bodies, government agencies and international organizations. More information.

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Publications

Contains citations to technical papers, standards and other materials published by SAE. The library owns a number of the SAE standards. To view a standard, please search our Library Catalog or ask a librarian for assistance. Provided by SAE International
