University Disability Services at MSOE


University Disability Services (UDS) is an affiliate of the Raider Center for Academic Success and is committed to making MSOE academically accessible to students with disabilities. UDS works with students who have learning or psychological disabilities. By using a team approach that includes the student, disability coordinator, instructors, advisors, counselors and outside resources, as needed, UDS assists faculty and staff with implementing accommodations as well as understanding Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Accommodations students can receive include but are not limited to: classroom accommodations, note taking assistance, electronic versions of textbooks, extended time on tests, a non-distracting Testing Center, and academic counseling.

To qualify for accommodations, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Submit Verification of a Disability Documentation

All students must submit documentation verifying their disability prior to receiving accommodations. This documentation must be produced by a licensed medical professional. Documentation must be current and include not only the diagnosis but a description of how the disability impairs the students’ academics. Students submit documentation they have on file or can choose to submit one of the two forms below:

Mon-Thurs: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
