The school year is right around the corner, and the Career Services Office has been extremely busy working on a number of events for the fall.  You will not want to miss these FREE opportunities, so “Save The Dates” and place them on your calendars today!

Launch of Career Net "3.0"! – TBD
Career Net will be undergoing another transformation soon.  Anyone wishing to have access to job descriptions, on-campus interviews, employers, and more will need an account in the latest version of Career Net.  Follow Career Services on the HUB for more information as the details are still being finalized.  In the meantime, the current Career Net is still alive, and employers have posted a ton of new jobs this week.

Senior Workshop – Saturday, Sept 20th
Attention Seniors!  Prepare for your final year at MSOE and that important first big job search.  Learn how to use the newest Career Net and maximize your use of Career Services.  Featured guest speaker is still TBD, but stay tuned.  Please RSVP to Cathlyn Ferraro (, 414-277-7120) or stop by the Career Services Office to sign up.  Please include your Major when you RSVP.  Todd Wehr Auditorium, 8:30am-12pm.

Internship Workshop – Tuesday, Sept 23rd

MSOE Career Fair – Friday, October 10th
All students and alumni - This annual event is the keystone of the fall recruiting season!  Meet company representatives, hand out resumes, and establish yourself as a prime candidate early on in the game.  225 companies are expected to be there.  KERN CENTER, 9am-2:30pm.

Thanks to Richard Gagliano for finding this great list of resume mistakes to avoid.  The only modifications I would make are that objectives can sometimes be helpful, and MSOE students should use 3.0 rather than 3.8 as the cutoff for including their GPAs.
