Connecting companies and consumers through communication
In today's world with its increasingly complex technologies, being able to explain technology and ideas to consumers is a critical skill. The type of skill developed through MSOE's Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication program.
The field of technical communication is a logical extension of the rapid growth in technology. As a technical communicator, you'll help users, often consumers, understand and use technology and products. You'll work closely with engineers and other technical staff and use your expertise to inform or train others about the product's use. You'll assist both customers and coworkers in understanding technology.
Graduates of the BSTC program work as technical writers and editors, content developers, documentation specialists, instructional designers, information architects, usability and human factors professionals, and web designers and developers, and translators. Their work makes technical information understandable to those who need it.
