Accepted students are required to make a non-refundable $100 tuition
deposit. After the tuition deposit is received, MSOE will release the
Certificate of Eligibility for F-1 Visa (Form I20).
Once a student has received the Form I20 from MSOE the student will go to
the United States Consulate or Embassy in his/her country to apply for a
student visa (F-1 visa). The student should take the following to the Consulate or Embassy:
- I20
- documentation of financial support
- copies of any test scores including the TOEFL
- passport
- acceptance letter
The decision to grant or
deny a visa to an applicant is that of the Consulate or Embassy official who
reviews your application.
Students who are not granted a visa may re-apply according to the rules of
the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (UCIS- formerly the
INS, Immigration and Naturalization Services).
If a student does not use the Form I-20 issued by MSOE to enter the U.S. or study
at MSOE, the student must return the form to the MSOE International Student
Advisor.
Please direct all questions regarding visas to Mr.
Nick Seidler,
the International Student Advisor. Mr. Seidler may be reached at (414)
