1. Visit Campus
There is no better way to see if MSOE has what you are looking for than to visit the campus. There are several options available, so whether near or far, you can have a glimpse of what it would be like to be a MSOE student:
- Personal appointment - contact the Admissions Office at (800) 332-6763 or register online.
- Open House
- Virtual Visit
2. Apply for Admission
The following steps are required for full-time transfer students to complete the application process:
- Complete the online transfer application.
- Submit all of your official college transcripts. College courses must have been taken at an accredited college or university in order to be used for admission purposes and considered for transfer credit. If you did not attend an accredited college or university, your high school information should be submitted to be considered for acceptance.
- We review your cumulative college GPA when making acceptance decisions. Submit official high school transcripts if you have completed fewer than 24 college credits.
- Submit your ACT or SAT scores if you have completed fewer than 24 college credits and if you graduated from high school less than two years ago.
All information should be sent to the following address:
MSOE Admissions Office
1025 N. Broadway
Milwaukee, WI 53202
MSOE operates on a rolling admission basis, and does not have any deadlines for application. An admissions decision will be made within one or two weeks of receiving all required information. You will also be mailed your official credit evaluation, usually within four weeks after your acceptance.
To view which classes may transfer, visit the online transfer manual.
3. Apply for Financial Aid
Financial aid includes scholarships, grants, loans and work-study. In order to apply for aid you must complete the following steps:
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form can be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Make sure to include the school code for MSOE (003868) when completing the form.
You may complete the FAFSA after Jan. 1 of each year. MSOE’s priority deadline for filing the FAFSA is March 15. You do not have to be accepted to file the FAFSA; however you must be accepted to MSOE in order to receive your final award.
4. Submit an Enrollment Deposit
When you have made the decision to attend MSOE, a $175 non-refundable enrollment deposit is required to save your place in your program. The priority deadline for students starting in the Fall Quarter to submit their deposit is May 1.
5. Apply for Housing
If you decide to live on campus, apply for Residence Halls by the deadline or find off-campus Housing.
6. Register for Classes
Registration for the Fall Quarter begins in June. Once you have submitted your enrollment deposit, your academic advisor will send you your first quarter schedule. If you are entering during Winter, Spring or Summer Quarters, you will be notified of the registration date.
7. Register for Parking on Campus
If you plan to commute to campus, you may want to apply for Student Parking.
