Registration

  • Online Team Commitment Form (mail payment separately)

  • Registration Fee: $85.00 per team

Participation
There is no limit to the number of teams each school is allowed to register.

Composition of team:
Eight (8) students. Teams may be comprised of fewer than eight students, however, the team score is a total sum of points earned, not an average.

Maximum number of teams the competition will host: 40

Hand-held calculators are permitted and recommended, but no other reference materials will be permitted in the event rooms. Scratch paper will be provided.

8 - 8:45 a.m.

Check-in (teacher and team captain only)

8:45 - 9 a.m.

Competition orientation and room assignments (teachers only)

9 - 10:30 a.m.

Individual test – General Science

9 - 10:30 a.m.

Individual test – Biology

9 - 10:30 a.m.

Individual test – Chemistry

9 - 10:30 a.m.

Individual test – Physics

10:30 - 10:45 a.m.

Break

10:45 - 11:30 a.m.

Event 5 – Team Event (all answers on bubble sheet must be filled in during this time. No extra time will be given)

11:30 - 11:45 a.m.

Break (awards will be determined during this time)

11:45 - 12:15 p.m.

Awards Ceremony

12:15 - 1:15 p.m.

Optional campus tour (must sign up in advance)

 

Team Awards:
1st, 2nd & 3rd Place: Trophy

Individual Awards:
Top 16 individuals overall: Medals
Top 6 individuals of each event: Certificates
All participants will receive a T-shirt.

Job Definitions
All sponsors will be assigned one of the following duties:

Proctor: responsible for signaling the beginning and end of each event, enforcing all rules as they apply to the student participants in their classroom and for distributing, administering, and collecting all event problem sets.

Runner:
responsible for delivering the problem sets to the scoring room at the conclusion of the individual and team events.
