Rigorous Academics
One of MSOE’s greatest strengths is the quality of our academics. We’re recognized for excellent teaching and innovative, business-oriented research and our engineering programs are consistently ranked in the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report*.

Applications-Oriented Learning
Students who learn best by experiencing the processes they’re studying should consider MSOE. We’re one of the few universities with more lab space on campus than classrooms. We offer students an average of 600 hours of laboratory experience and provide practical knowledge students need to succeed in the workplace. Undergraduates have access to the most advanced technology and research facilities available anywhere with MSOE’s Applied Technology Center ™ (ATC).

Top-Quality Programs
Sure, we’re known for our world-class engineering programs, but MSOE also provides excellent education in other fields, from construction management, computer fields and business programs to health-related degrees. Our exceptional faculty are seasoned professionals focused on teaching and on giving students personal attention. Classes average 18 students, and labs about half that many.

Promising Success
At MSOE, our focus on students’ current needs puts them on the path for success. We provide academic support, mentoring programs and an array of health-related services through MSOE’s Learning Resource Center. We’re one of the few universities across the country that guarantees students they’ll get the classes they need to graduate in four years. The results of this student-centered focus is phenomenal, our placement rate is 95 percent for 2010-11.
