Core Training Institute

This summer MSOE will offer Core Training for the Engineering and Biomedical Science Programs for teachers to be trained in specific Project Lead the Way courses.  It is a requirement of the PLTW network agreement, signed by a school district, that PLTW course can be taught only by a teacher who has successfully completed training in the particular course they will be teaching.  Core Training provides teachers with the knowledge to utilize PLTW technology, software and associated curriculum.  Summer classes are taught by Master Teachers and Affiliate Professors who bring hands-on teaching experience to the classroom.

NEW! Registration will open in April. There will not be a teacher pre-assessment as in past years. Further information will be announced regarding teacher readiness preparation before Core Training begins.

NEW!
PLTW pays significant attention to the teachers’ readiness for the intensive two-week training. After registration, teachers will need to complete a couple hours of homework to prepare them before coming to the Summer Core Training session.
