VIP Excellence in Teaching Awards


Rich Frost was recognized as a VIP
at MSOE's Spring 2012 Commencement

Each academic quarter, graduating seniors at MSOE are invited to nominate an individual from their own secondary school experience -- a teacher* who not only ‘knew her/his stuff," but could "communicate" it, and whose commitment to students included encouragement of further educational and career goals. In more than a small way, these teachers had a positive and significant influence on the life of one or more students.

At a time of much concern over the educational skills and competencies of our nation's young people, MSOE wishes to recognize those who have had a significant influence on their students' future educational achievement and career goals. Our wish is to spotlight not only our graduates, but also thank those, who in some important way, motivated them, inspired them and helped make it happen for them.

* Our working professional students are also encouraged to nominate a "Very Influential Person" from their workplace or profession wo had guided, influenced or mentored them in a manner comparable to that described above.
