Summer Program Scholarships

Scholarships may be available for you to attend Summer Programs at MSOE. Check the criteria on this page to see of you are eligible. Scholarships are available from MSOE, John Deere, and a private donor.

Scholarship application deadline: May 1, 2009. You will be notified via e-mail if you have been awarded a scholarship.

MSOE Summer Program Scholarship

Twelve ($300) scholarships available: First come, first served

Criteria:
  • Must be eligible for free or reduced price school meals (as documented by a school counselor)
  • Must include current report card of at least 2.8 GPA
  • Essay indicating your interest in attending the program
  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor
  • Completed summer program application

Please submit letter of interest, teacher recommendation, report card, and statement of financial need to:

John Deere Scholarship for MSOE Summer Programs

10-12 partial scholarships available

Criteria:
  • Must be minority student (Native American, Asian American, Hispanic, African American, and/or female of any race/ethnicity)
  • Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident
  • Must include current report card of at least 2.5 GPA
  • Recommendation from teacher or guidance counselor
  • Interested in engineering
  • Completed summer program application

Private Donor Scholarship for MSOE Summer Programs

Four $650 scholarships available

Criteria:
  • Must be a rural high school student
  • Interested in engineering or nursing
  • Must include current report card/transcript
  • Letter of recommendation from a math or science teacher
  • Must have good grades in math and science (A's and B's)
  • Include a letter of interest for the summer program
  • Include statement from parent indicating need for financial assistance
  • Must be a junior or senior in fall 2009
  • Completed summer program application
