Why did you pick MSOE?

MSOE had all I wanted. A good academic reputation, small class sizes, a great location, and an immediate start in my program.

What do you like about MSOE?
The professors and staff here provide a great deal of knowledge, assistance and opportunity to anyone willing to ask for it. Also, the student organizations always have something entertaining planned, and the city setting is excellent.

What would you tell someone who is considering coming to MSOE?
Evaluate all of your choices thoroughly and pick what's best for you. Visit the school and shadow a student if you're unsure. MSOE is a challenge, but its a very rewarding one. As long as you give it your best effort, you won't regret choosing MSOE.

Why did you pick computer engineering as your major?
I picked computer engineering because I've always liked tinkering with computers and electronics. What we learn in the CE program falls right in line with my interest in discovering how they work. After graduating from MSOE, I'll hopefully enter into a field thats challenging, always evolving and as enjoyable as my hobbies.

What do you like about the program?
I'm a fan of the hands-on experience. Reading from a book can only teach you so much, so when we work on projects in labs you get a better understanding of just what's going on. Also every CE teacher I've encountered so far has been excellent.

What do you do in your free time?
Program, play games, and hang out with friends. We frequently walk around the city or out to the lakefront, have movie nights or small LAN parties. There's always something to keep occupied with.

Any groups or clubs you’re involved in?

Unfortunately no. My only regret of freshman year is that I didn't take advantage of the many student organizations MSOE has to offer.
