What have you liked most about your MSOE experience?
The clinical opportunities provided for the nursing students. The wide range of experience we received is truly amazing.  The small class sizes and personal relationships with faculty and other students is also an aspect I really liked.

Beyond academics, what have you learned at MSOE?
Time management!  With the work load academically at MSOE, having a job and trying to have a social life, you learn how to manage your time quickly. I've also learned that to be successful in becoming who you want to be, it takes persistence and determination.

What's your favorite memory at MSOE?
Sitting in study groups laughing at all the ridiculous mnemonics we make up to remember all the material we are studying.  I always seemed to come up with something interesting.

What have the scholarships done for you?
They allowed me to attend MSOE without putting a hardship on my family or myself. They also reduced my time restraints by alleviating me of working an additional job to make that money. The scholarships reduced my stress levels and allowed me to focus more on my schoolwork.

Why did you choose MSOE? Are you happy with your decision?
I started at an institution where the emphasis was put on grades instead of developing a person as a whole. After deciding to transfer, interviewing MSOE and repeatedly hearing about quality students graduating from MSOE, I knew it was where I belonged. The clinical portion of the nursing program is what impressed me the most.  Having three years of clinical in areas that encompass a broad range of possibilities within the nursing field is what sets MSOE apart from other institutions.

What were you involved in at school?
I was a member of MSOE's Nursing Honors Society and president of MSOE's Student Nurses Association (SNA).

What do you like to do for fun?
Enjoying life and being awesome at it. I love the mountains, anything outdoors, traveling, working out, tailgating at Brewers games, sports, snowboarding/skiing, music and theater, hanging out with friends, having a good time and laughing!

What are you doing now that you're graduated?
I accepted a job in the Emergency Room at St. Mary's in Milwaukee. I am also looking into going to medical school, researching what classes I need to take to meet the pre-med requirements. Once I meet the requirements I hopefully will be heading to medical school.
