Why did you pick MSOE?
The size of the MSOE student body is what initially appealed to me. I was drawn to the small classes that offer the ability to learn directly from professors.

A major impact on my decision to attend MSOE was the broad scope of MSOE’s biomedical engineering program, meaning it encompasses a variety of classes. Additionally, the equivalent total of credits received compared to other schools is much greater at MSOE.

The “icing on the cake” in considering MSOE was the opportunity to continue my baseball career. MSOE’s NCAA Division III Baseball program offers those of us who value academics as much as athletics the opportunity to gain experience from both.

What do you like about MSOE?
One of my favorite academic experiences at MSOE is the senior design process. Over the past three years, our team has had so much fun bouncing ideas off of each other and designing our own experiments to evaluate those ideas. We have taken pride in our ability to work as friends, teammates and fellow classmates. Moreover, we take pride in our work ethic and strength towards developing a successful project.

What would you tell someone who is considering MSOE?
I have come to truly respect and enjoy MSOE as an institution. I have accomplished this through a broad involvement with extracurricular activities. I’d encourage all prospective students to keep their lives balanced while at MSOE. Also, keep an open eye and ear for any academic opportunities that may arise. You will be very surprised at where these may lead to.

What do you do in your free time?
Most of my free time is spent playing baseball. Whether it be spring or fall ball at MSOE, summer ball in the Milwaukee area, or the winter off season, baseball is a strong passion of mine. Furthermore, our baseball team works on volunteer projects that are very fulfilling. Outside of baseball I spend time with friends, play the piano, or enjoy the outdoors. I spend the summer months either fishing, playing beach volleyball at the lake, playing frisbee golf or tennis, and riding my moped.
