Why did you pick MSOE?
I decided to attend MSOE because of the technical communication program. It’s a well-rounded program offering course work in both human communication theory as well as the tools and industry standards used in the technical communication field. The workload is great preparation for careers utilizing any of the majors offered at MSOE.
What do you like about MSOE?
Most of the class sizes allow for interaction with a diverse range of students as well as face time with professors. The opportunities to interact with faculty are very important because of their industry experience.
What would you tell someone who is considering coming to MSOE?
Research both the academics involved with your future program of study as well as the careers available to individuals with the degree you are seeking. Also, visit the campus and speak with students in the program you are looking to enter. That knowledge and experience will help you make an informed decision about coming to MSOE.
What do you do in your free time?
I am an avid cyclist who enjoys riding road bikes both recreationally and competitively.
Any groups or clubs you're involved in?
I have been involved with MSOE Servant-Leadership projects such as helping organize the Raymond Bike Fair, leading the MSOE Summer Bike Rehab Challenge, and the Community Warehouse Truck Repair Project. I am also conducting undergraduate research on the implementation of Servant-Leadership at MSOE.
